Objective To explore the difference between of odor between human blood and animal blood. Methods The components of blood odor were determined by Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometry with the Solid Phase Micro-Extraction. A model for recognition of blood odor based on stepwise discrimination analysis was established and the features came from the chromatographs of blood samples. The model code was compiled by means of Matlab. Results There were nine compounds which were significantly different between human blood and animal blood. Samples from different species could be distinguished by means of the proposed model. Conclusion The odors from human blood and animal blood were different significantly. They could be recognized by the model.

Chinese is tone language; there are differences on pitch level and change of tone between speakers. In this paper, general software was used to analyze the change of pitch data from different speakers, and pitch patterns curves with apparent morphological features were established after pitch data being normalized and fitting. We could identify speaker through analyzing the differences on the form of pitch patterns and parameters.

Objective To study homicide/murder cases and find out the characteristics, which could help us to summarize the key points and difficult points. Methods 94 homicide/murder cases taken place during 2006 and 2010 in Wujin district of Changzhou city were collected. The MS Excel software was used to perform descriptive statistic analysis. Results The incidence rate of homicide cases varied wildly in different quarter. The majority of victims and suspects were non-permenet residents, with prevalence peaking from age 18 to 40 years and a male predominance. The cause of the most death cases was mechanical injury and mechanical asphyxia. Conclusion The occurrence of homicide/murder cases has positive correlation with the population. General information of the victims and suspects differed in different cases. Investigation of criminal motivation, injury implements, distribution of injuries, and cause of death were of great importance for the forensic experts.

Objective To establish a method to measure acetamiprid in human blood. Methods Acetamiprid in human blood was extracted by dispersive solid phase extraction and analyzed by GC/MS/SIM.Results The concentration of acetamiprid presented a linear range of 0.02μg/mL~2μg/mL(r=0.9997), the recoveries were 76.4%~89.8%, the relative standard deviations were 1.3%~8.3%, the limit of detection was 0.0075μg/ml.Conclusion The method is simple, accurate, easy to use, and suitable for measure of Acetamiprid in human blood.

Objective To investigate the polymorphism of 14 STR loci in Henan Han population and briefly introduce the DNA database construction process. Methods DNA Typer15TM Direct kit was used to detect the allelic frequencies of 14 STR loci in 359 unrelated Henan Han individuals the population genetics and parameters were calculate by using statistic software. Results The results demonstrated that all loci were found to be no deviation from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium(P>0.05). Heterozygosity(H)ranged from 0.694 to 0.922, matching probability(Pm)ranged from 0.017 to 0.131, power of discrimination(PD)ranged from 0.869 to 0.983, polymorphism information content(PIC)ranged from 0.670 to 0.910, power of exclusion(PE)ranged from 0.418 to 0.841.Conclusion The 14 STR loci are relatively abundant in polymorphic information for identification and paternity test in Henan Han population. Using DNA Typer15TM Direct kit to build a DNA database is very simple and economical.
