ObjectiveTo improve the technique of powder method for detecting of latent fingerprint. MethodTiO2 nanopowder was compared to conventional powders, and improved by adding pigment, hydrophobic materials or mixed with other powder. ResultThe improving method was optimized through orthogonal design optimization method. TiO2 nanopowder can develop more details, produce less background and be better with the old fingerprints, because of its good granularity. When combined with pigment, hydrophobic materials or mixed with other powders, it will result in good fluidity, better contrast and high ability in developing latent fingerprints on moist surface. The optimum TiO2 nanopowder could be obtained with 20% pigment, 5∶2 assistant powder and 1hexadecylamine as a hydrophobic agent. ConclusionTiO2 nanopowder is effective reagent for the development of latent fingerprints on the nonporous surface.

ObjectiveTo compare the advantages and disadvantage of strong acid digestion method and trypsin digestion method for extracting diatom in order to provide theoretic basis for practice. MethodsTwenty four rabbits were randomly distributed which include drowning group and control group. After 72h in ambient temperature, 5g tissue(Liver, kidney and lung)were digested by strong acid and trypsin. Time for complete digestion, the digestive capability and reclaiming ratio of diatom of above three different tissues were comparatively analyzed. ResultIn decomposed tissues, the time for complete digestion was shorter and the digestive capability of strong acid digestion method was stronger obviously than trypsin digestion method(P<0.05),but reclaiming ratio of diatom of strong acid digestion method was inferiorer obviously than trypsin digestion Method(P<0.05). ConclusionStrong acid digestion method should been selected in terms of saving time in practice; Trypsin digestion method should been selected in the cases where less diatoms were found in drowning fluid .

ObjectiveTo establish a simple and rapid method for the determination of tetramine in blood, urine and liver by solidphase extraction with celite and GC/NPD. MethodsBlood diluted with water or urine or supernant of the homogenized liver deproteined with 6% perchloric acid were added to celite column and the elutions were effected with benzene for blood and urine, or chloroform for liver. The eluations were evaporated on water bath. The dried residues were redissolved with 0.1ml methanol respectively. ResultsLimit of detection for tetramine is below 20ng/g(ml). The recoveries of tetramine were 98.4% for blood, 95.6% for urine and 98.1% for liver. ConclusionThe method can be used in casework for determination of tetramine in blood, urine and liver.

ObjectiveTo optimize the analysis condition of SDE for the extraction of amphetamine in urine. MethodsParameters of SDE,such as the volume of the drop, the extraction solvent, the rate of agitation, the time of the extraction were experimental studied and the extraction efficiency were tested by GC/NPD analysis. ResultsEstablish the optimized condition of SDE in amphetamine analysis. ConclusionSDE is a new pretreatment technique, easy to operate and low cosf. The method will have a broad application in drug analysis.

A modified iodine fumingiodinezinc method for developing fingerprints was introduced. The development capability and fingerprint stability of the iodinezinc method was compared with traditional iodine fuming method, and the result shows that the iodine zinc method is better than tradional iodine fuming methods. The reaction mechanism, developing subsequence and its advantages were also given in this paper.

The paper reports the comparison of the constriction rate of the mechanical wounds located on the different parts of the bodies. The constriction rate was obtained by comparing the length of the fresh wound with the scar. Because the surface area and the length of body wounds or scar can not be calculated each other in the existing standards,it may be unfair to some assessments of body surface impairment. It is necessary to raise a means to solve this problem and provide the reference for the colleague.
