Abstract
Objective To investigate the polymorphism of 18 STR loci in Han population from Daqing district. Methods DNATyperTM19 kit was used to detect the allelic frequencies of 18 STR loci in 221 unrelated Daqing Han individuals, and then the population genetics parameters were calculate by using statistic software. Results The results demonstrated that all loci were found to be no deviation from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium ( P>0.05), Heterozygosity (H) ranged from 0.608 to 0.896, matching probability (Pm) ranged from 0.016 to 0.196, power of discrimination (DP) ranged from 0.804 to 0.984, polymorphism information content (PIC) ranged from 0.560 to 0.910, power of exclusion (PE) ranged from 0.301 to 0.788. Conclusions The 18 STR loci are relatively abundant in polymorphic information and suitable for forensic personal identification and paternity testing.
