    Objective To establish a method to extract and separate diterpenoid alkaloids containing C-14anisoyl group. Methods Three diterpenoid alkaloids wer e isolated from Aconitum brevicalcaratum var. pauciflorum. by extracted with 95% ethanol and then using silica gel chromatography and preparative TLC. Each alka loid's structure was identified with UV, HPLCMS and 13CNMR. Results The method was effective to extract foresaconitine, crassicauline A and yunaconitine from Aconitum brevicalcaratum var. pauciflorum. Conclusion W e have to identify not only Aconitinetype alkaloids which containing C-14 benzoyl group but also yunaco nitinetype alkaloids which containing C-14 anisoyl group when we carry ou t forensic toxicological investigation in casekork.

    Objective To establish a method of sex determina tion from fragmentary and incomplete mandibulae in Chinese population.Methods 15 parameters from left mandibular angle and mandibular ra mus were measured on each pair of mandibula of 160 known Chinese skeletons(108 males and 52 females, age range is 18~75), which come from eight provinces of China Data obtained wer e subjected to Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) discriminant f unction analysis, and measurements that showed different significantly were se lected for constructing the sex discriminant functions.Results 44 sex discrim inant functions for fragmentary and incomplete mandibulae in left were generate d It sho wed that the high average accuracy of the mandibular angle was 706%, 694%, for male and 75% for femaleAccording to mandibular ramus, it is 756%, 778% in male group and 808% in female groupWhen using a combination of mandibula r angle and mandibular ramus, Sex correct rate is 756%, 750% in male and 846% in female.ConclusionIt showed the functions acqu ired were effective and reliable in the sex determination from fragmentary mand ibulaThis study can be used for sex determination in murder cases, fire disast er, airplane crashed and archaeology as well.

    Objective To establish a method f or sampling and sesting of plant polle n in soil. Method soil samples were treated With xylene and 18% hydrochloric aci d and was examined by scanuing electron Microscope. Results Different types of p lant pollen were detected from the soid samples. Conclusion With this method, the pollen in soil can be separated efficiently. The method can be used for examina tion of plant pollen in other mixed forensic samples.

    Objective To study the possipility and method of taking monochrome and polarized photography by digital camera(DC).M ethods T he Shoeprints on colour carpet were photogrophed with different methods.Results An ideal shoeprints photography was got with monochrome and polarized photog raphy.Condusion The method of monochrome and polarized photogra phy with DC is eff ecfive.and the efficiency of this method is higher than that of traditional pho tography.

    Objective To develop the Er gonomic Full Palm Mark Seal kit. Method The Ergonomic Full Palm Mark Se al kit tallies with the curve structure of human pa lm physiology composition so as to achieve the full press mark effect according to the anatomy characteristic of hand skeleton and by changing the structure of its surface based on the principle of traditional palm mark seal kit constructio n. Result To press the complete and clear full palm mark whic h meets requirem ents of check and filing. Conclusion The kit is suitable for palm mark samples collection.
