  There are many ways to organize forensic scien ce laboratory in the different country. The inner organization and parent organi zation of fo rensic laboratory, and forensic service system have been reviewed and discussed in this paper. The conclusion was that there is no single answer to the optimum organization of forensic science laboratory.

  Objective To study the genetic pol ymorphisms of DYS19, GATAA10, GATAA72 and DYX458 Y chromosome specific RTR loci in Wuhan Han population. Methods The DNA extracted from blood samples of unrelated men in Han population living in Wuhan were ampli fied by PCR. The PCR products were analyzed using PAGE.Results 5、5、6 and 9 alleles were detected in DYS19、GATAA10、GATAA72 and D YS458 4 Y-STR loci respectively in Han population. Genetic diversity value for the 4 STR was 06365、06996、06377 and 08239 respectively. Total 107 hapl otypes could be identified. The haplotype GD of the 4 Y-STR was 09867.Conclusion The 4 Yspecific STR loci are highly polymorphic and are suitable for individual identification and paternity testing.
