Objective To explore the application of small particle TiO2 reagent on development of latent fingerprints. Methods (40) Fingerprints on six different kinds of substrates, which were preserved one day and seven days, and they were developed by SPR (small particle reagent). Results The fingerprints preserved for one day and seven days have not evident difference, but the developing result of sebaceous fingerprint was better than the eccrine fingerprints. Conclusion The small TiO2 particle reagent is effective reagent for latent fingerprints on the non-porous surfaces.

The human body odor left on the crime scene has the relative stability and can be used as evidence to link suspect. Discrimination human body odor by police dog is a main technique method. The human body odor can also been analysis by Electronics nose and gas chromatography & mass spectrometry(GC/MS).GC/MS is a kind of effective analyze method to the intricate organism compound and GC/MS is frequently used to identify and quantify odorous compounds as olfactometry. Demonstrated each other the result of the police dog discrimination of human odor and instruments analysis of human odor are development direction to investigated odor evidence and a key technique of human odor evidence.
