    Facing the new challenge of biocrime or bioterror in 21st, a new forensic discipline-microbial forensics will become the essential tool for law enforcement investigating and prosecuting the biocrime. Microbial forensics analysis the microbial used in biocrime, and obtain the results about microbial species or stains and sub-stains that may contain resource information, to reach the purpose of providing clues for investigation and evidence for court. Americans successful practices and experiences in recent years in building the capability of microbial forensics are noteworthy. The forensic laboratories in China should make great efforts to build microbial forensics system required by biocrime investigation.

    Most pornographic image detecting systems are based on the results of skin detection. They extract the low level features in the image and obtain high positive detecting rate and high false positive detecting rate as well. The paper proposes to extract local features to obtain high level semantic knowledge. The system detects the salient points in the image and describes the local region's form around the points using SIFT descriptor. Look on these descriptors as visual words, then the pornographic information can be detected based on the words found. Only combining the Bayesian formula with the traditional detecting system, the algorithm takes from the false positive detecting rate remarkably when the true positive rate is kept as before.

    ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of temperature to the concentration of alcohol in blood sample. MethodsThe concetration of alcohol in blood samples which preserved for different hours and under different temperature were determinated using head space gas chromatography (HSGC). ResultsThe blood concentration in samples those preserved in freezing and refrigeration for 30 days have not evident difference; those preserved in room temperature for 30 days have their concentration decreasing. ConclusionThe better ways to preserve blood samples with alcohol is in freezing or refrigeration.

    ObjectiveTo observe the relationship between the changes of corneal aquiporin1(AQP1) and postmortem interval (PMI). Methods50 healthy rabbits were divided randomly into 10 groups according to the time of 0h, 6h,12h, 24h, 36h 48h, 60h, 72h, 84h and 96h after the death caused by air embolism and the cornea was dissected. The corneal AQP1 was observed by the method of immunohistochemical staining and analyzed by a image analyze system. the parameters of positive area (A)、integral optical density(IOD)、average optical density(AOD) and average gray(AG) was used to measure the content changes of corneal AQP1 after different PMI. ResultsThe positive reaction of corneal AQP1 was showed a timedependent decrease until 84h after death. and the parameters of A, IOD, AOD and AG were also showed a decline regularly. ConclusionThe content of corneal AQP1 was changes regularly after death, and the parameters of A, IOD, AOD and AG could be used as new indexes for estimating the PMI.

    In this article the effect of 10 disguised voices that are common in real casework on automatic speaker recognition is studied. Each disguised voice as test sample was used to make comparisons with all normal voice samples in the database of automatic speaker recognition system. The result of speaker identification and verification was given and the significance for forensic speaker identification was evaluated.

    The use of time procedure and gas chromatographyCI/tandem mass spectrometry for qualitative analysis the mixed pesticide (Dichlorvos and Carbofuran) in biological tissue has been studied. In this paper, the time of analysis is divided into two sections and the parent ion and CID voltage have been selected. Parent ion is molecular ion ,when the time is from 4min to 6.5min,Dichlorvos is studied, CID voltage is 0.5v. When the time is from 6.5min to 13min, Carbofuran is studied, CID voltage is 0.4v. It showed that time procedure and MS/MS have many advantages, such as fast, sensitively and eliminating the disturbance in the complex biological tissue.

    ObjectiveTo set up a determination method and qualitative analysis of poison by double capillary columns and double detectors. MethodBy the device of VSOS,the sample was injected into two difference polar capillary columns,and entered into two selected detectors after separated. ResultThe sample can be separated and qualitative analysis by the VSOS. ConclusionThe method can accurately determine the nature to poison.

    ObjectiveTo explore and accurate method of lifting footprint in series. MethodsThe deviation of the traditional photography methods and the scan method were compared. ResultThe deviation of scan method is the smallest. ConclusionThe scanner will have more use in lifting footprint than before.

    Objective To obtain SIM's data which can be used as evidences, included the deleted data. MethodUsing the software Paraben Cell Seizure(v2.0) and its matching reader to obtain the exiting and the deleted data from SIM cards. ResultWe recover phone number record and short messages etc. from the card used in the experimentation. ConclusionThere are a lot of valuable information in SIM cards, and most of these information can be obtained and used as evidence.

    ObjectiveTo analyze sodium cyanide in samples quickly/conveniently and accurately. Methodscanning electron microscope(SEM)energy dispersive Xray spectrometer(EDS ) was employed for analysis of sodium cyanide in tea and stomach contents. ResultSodium cyanide in tea and stomach was assayed successfully with scanning electron microscope(SEM)energy dispersive Xray spectrometer(EDS ). ConclusionCompared with traditional methods, the method has the features of fastness, convenience, accuracy and can keep the sample intact, combined with traditional method of chemical reaction , this method can give results more quickly an accurately.

    Corneal opacity is one of the important postmortem changes. The effects of the specific structure of collagen, the interaction of collagen with proteoglycan and the changes of ionic strength in the corneal stroma on the corneal opacity were introduced in this paper, and the possibility to use the corneal opacity in forensic application was also discussed.
