ABSTRACT: Objective To probe into the probility of individual identification with cranial sutures. Method 30 Chinese skulls were observed and the characters of cranial sagittal sutures were described. Result The length of adult Chinese sagittal sutures ranges from 109mm to 136mm , which has no relation to age or gender. The appearance of parietal foramen is 80% in which 3940% appears to be asymmetrical distribution. Conclusion The shape of the cranial suture as a biological feature of individual identification is appropriate and the method is simple and practice in forensic medicine field.

To investigate the genetic polymorphism of D1S1656,D10S2325,D11S2368, D12S391,D14S1434,GATA198B05 in Chinese Han population of Beijing, PCR method was used. All allele frequencies, heterozygosity (H), discrimination power(DP), exclusion of paternity probability(PE) and polymorphism information content(PIC) were calculated. The DP is at 09777~08769 , PIC is at 06867~08801, H is at 07219~08684, PE is at 04456~06793 According to the results obtained in this study, it is suggested that D1S1656,D10S2325,D11S2368, D12S391,D14S1434 and GATA198B05 were useful genetic markers for individual identification and paternity testing in forensic science and they were complementary to general loci.

Objective To explore the use of identification code of color laser printer in document examination. Method 9 samples printed by color laser printer or color copier, 420nm light was used for developing the code on paper. Results The identification code vary with type and manufacture of printer or copier. For some type printer, the code varies with time. Conclusion Identification code of printer and copier can be used for examining printed document.

EventRelated Potential Detection Technique infers whether the man tested knows the content of target stimulus by way of comparing the differences of P300 that come from target and nontarget. The possibility of this detection technique has been proved through a lot of domestic and foreign tests. In this article, author brings up that the true case situation should be the detection background, the situation or things that the man tested has experienced or used should be made as the target stimulus, and the effect of cognitive factors should be cleared up by the way of talk before test.
