    This experiment examined the accuracy and reliability of the event-related potential(ERP)for detecting inforrrla— tion related tO events that subjects have experienced．31 subjects who had been in custody for involving in criminal cases were test— ed with event-related potential method and the data were statistically analyzed with SSPS 11．5 software．The results showed that accuracy was 80．6％and P300 has potential as an investigative tool in criminal cases．

    Objective To explore the racial difference of mandibula．Methods 18 measurements are sleeted tO carry on the independent-sample T test and Fisher’S discriminant analysis by SPSS．Results 6 measurements have statistical significance (P<O．05)．Then 6 pairs discriminant equations were found including the whole variables’discriminant equation，the stepwise dis—criminant and muti-variabes’discriminant equations．Conclusion The racial difference of mandibula can be helpful to the race determination．

    Objective To explore the teeth development in Han populations lived in different regions of Guangdong． Methods According tO the standard for grading the degree of teeth calcification，digital orthopantomograms of lower mandibular teeth samples，1774(899 male，875 female)from Guangzhou Han population and 1730(846 male，884 female)from Shenzhen Han population，aged between 6 tO 18 years old，were studied and then the statistics analysis was carried out with SPSSl3．0．Results There is a perfect relation between chronological age and dental calcification；there are no significant statistic differences in the low— er mandibular teeth calcification degree of the same gender between the two regions．Conclusion There was no difference of teeth development in young groups among different regions in Guangdong．

    Objective To observe the mutational pattern of汀R loci．Methods Samples from three generations of one family were detected by IdentifilerTM Kit and DNA Typerl5 Kit. The DNA samples of parent-child pairs with mutations in VWA loci were genotyped by polyacrylamide gel electropheresis on STR .A1leles to be sequenced were excised from gels，reamplified by PCR，and purified．Results There were lI一7、m一8 from parent-child pairs in which the mutation alleles gained or lost a single repeat．The allele mutation of II一7 was certain。the allele mutation of m一8 was uncertain．Conclusion The mutation of VWA showed single-step mutation event，There was no insertion or deletion of an incomplete repeat．The mutation mainly came from fathers．T11e type of mutation was TCTA(T(xG)4(TCTA)n，not the type of(TCTG)3(TCrA)n、TCTA(TCTG)5_6(TCrA)n

    Objective To establish a new method for DNA extraction from bone samples．Methods DNA of 11 bone samples was extracted and quantificated by using pressure cycling technology．Results Compared to traditional protocol，the pressure cycling technology greatly streamlined bone DNA extraction process，and DNA recovery rate increased from 6％to 49％． Conclusion Pressure cycling technology WaS proved as one of effective bone DNA extraction method in forensic application．

    Objective To evaluate the DNATyperTMl5 Direct PcR Amplification Kit and quest for the new method of testing DNA database samples．Methods common DNA database samples were amplified directly using DNATyperTM 15 Direct PCR Amplification Kit．Results Perfect genotyping results were obtained from fiber papers．blood cards developed by Institute of forensic science ministry of public security．Frp—Cards and blood cards developed by Bo-Kun．Conclusion The results showed that DNATyperTM 15 Direct PCR Amplification Kit can be applied to the forensie DNA genotyping of paper type samples．
