Objective To explore the stability of heroin in various organic solvents. Methods An internal standard method of gas chromatography (GC) was employed to analyze the content of heroin (prepared in our laboratory) in organic solvents. The content variation of heroin in five kinds of organic solvents kept in refrigeration was continuous monitored at different time periods. Results The results demonstrated that the heroin content in ethanol, trichloromethane and acetonitrile did not change significantly within 30 days. However, the heroin content increased significantly from 7 to 30 days when acetone was used as solvent and the heroin content in methanol showed an obvious decrease trend from 0 h to 30 days. Conclusion Ethanol, trichloromethane and acetonitrile can be selected as the solvent of heroin, but acetone and methanol are not suitable as solvent of heroin.

Objective To develop an analysis method for determining drugs from blood. Methods Methadone, cocaine, thebaine and heroin in blood were extracted by accelerated solvent extraction(ASE) and analyzed with GC/MS.Results The recoveries of four drugs were ranged from 87.8% to 97.5%. A good linear relationship was obtained at the concentration range of 0.4μg/mL ~4.0μg/mL.Conclusion The method has high recovery, good repeatability and easy to operation. It can be used to the casework.

Sweat fingerprints on the aluminum surface were developed by UV reflection photography and it was found that the development results were varied with the different incidence angle of UV light. The explanation about this phenomenon and suggestions when use this method to develop fingerprints on aluminum surface were given by author.

Objective To determine the frequencies and parameters of 18 short tandem repeat loci (D5S818, D21S11, D7S820, CSF1PO, D2S1338, D3S1358, vWA, D8S1179, D16S539, Penta E, TPOX, TH01, D19S433, D18S51, FGA, D6S1043, D13S317, D12S391) of Han population in Gansu province. Methods PCR amplification and capillary electrophoresis technologies were employed to determine the genotypes of 18 STR loci for 272 individuals. Results 202 alleles were recognized, with frequencies ranged from 0.002 to 0.570. No departures from Hardy-Weinberg expectations were detected for all 18 loci studied (P>0.05). The statistical analysis of 18 STR loci showed the heterozygosity is higher than 0.599, the discrimination power is higher than 0.771, the polymorphic information content is higher than 0.534, and the probability of paternity exclusion is higher than 0.290.Conclusion This work not only studied the genetic polymorphism of 18 short tandem repeat loci in Gansu province, but also introduced the DNATyperTM19 kit into genetic polymorphism studies and reported relevant parameters of the DNATyperTM19 kit.

Objective To establish a method for simultaneous detection of 17 kinds of abused drugs. Methods The separation was performed on a Shim-pack XR-ODS column (100mm×2.0mm, 2.2μm), using acetonitrile(B)-water(A) with 0.3% formic acid as mobile phase. The gradient elution procedure was 0min~3min~8min~15min~20min,3%B~18%B~23%B~93%B~93%B. The interface voltage, scan speed, nebulizing gas flow, drying gas flow was set at 5kV, 3750u/sec, 1.5L/min, 10L/min respectively. Results 21 compounds in 17 kinds of abused drugs gained good seperative efficiency and mass respond. The limits of detection (S/N≥3) were 1.9pg/μL-40.0pg/μL under scan mode. Conclusion This method was rapid, simple, effective and suited for simultaneous detection of unkown drug samples.
